The connectivity was an issue from the start. I even went to the extent of adding two Wi-Fi extenders to put near the front and back windows to be closer to the camera, and still had issues with the cameras receiving a signal.
Some days, I received 25+ text messages 'offline/online'.
I was never able to have videos after the 30 days of use. The 1st 30 days, they worked amazingly, but then it was downhill ever since.

Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with apology. Disconnected and it turns out some features work without the subscription
this did not make me happy. I waited on hold for about 10 minutes and then hung up and then call back and I was in a pretty sour mood by then. The phone menu is convoluted in my opinion and on hold music is maddening in a word. I told the first person hey I just want to cancel it.
Do not put me on hold. Do not transfer me to someone else. but they transferred me requires an agent they said so I was already pretty out of shape when I got to the young man. he started to grill me as to why I wanted to cancel the service and I started to explain that was because I was short on money right now and I might just pause it, but he seemed intent on having me fill out this form and Ill admit it.
I lost it. I am so sick of having to go through a process to cancel services that I let all my ire on him. It said something to the fact you can put down in the comments so they can kiss my butt! I was criticizing, the process, not him, but he took it and said, sir sir Im a person too.
I hung up and they canceled the service. Its kind of sad really because until this point it extremely happy with Simply Safe. Theyre a little bit anal retentive about things but you know thats kind of what you want in the security company I suppose now Ill never go back to them. I believe we all need to unite together and make a few rules for ourselves when it comes to dealing with companies that refuse to let you cancel online here they are:
1.
Check the cancellation policy -before- you sign up for something and if its egregious, then look for another choice.
2. Refuse to be put on hold for more than 5 to 10 minutes.
And let the person know that youre going to hang up if you dont get connected in a timely fashion.
3. Dont try with minions if you feel any grief at all, say the magic word manager.

Made 2 calls about my $200 referral offer and am getting the run around. I should not have to chase this down.
Ive been a customer for nearly 20 years.
I really hate these overseas call centers. None of the operators speak real English just broken gibberish.
Waiting for the advanced team to resolve the ticket.
So if I didn't call I would never see the $200? What a scam.

Poor service
I have tried to cancel my service for over a week all I get is the run around was told I could not discontinue service. And if I didnt pay I would be turned over to the credit bureau.

I never got help when I call in. I was on hold to long so I hung up. To reset my System
I never got held for the reason I called in. I was on hold for a very long time so then I just hung up.

Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with apology. Check of cameras and sensitivity.
It's a crap shoot when you call customer service for help. We tried twice and both times we could not understand the person, they were no help at all!
When we finally told them that we needed someone that we could understand, we were on hold for 10 minutes. Conclusion: Nobody could tell us why our cameras didn't work when people tried to rob us!
They slashed our truck tire and tried to steal our utility trailer 5 ft from our bedroom window. Our dog was a better security system!

Try to tell them your Base Station is Fried and you need a replacement or a new one. If they believe you things would move along rather quickly and you would almost be done, but they dont believe you and they have their 'Procedures' even if you have already talked to a CSR for 1 or 2 hours you get to start all over with their 'Procedures'.
So instead of just taking you at your word that its fried they would rather spend an hour or more of your time to play with batteries and a pairing button, but none of it works because its fried. did I mention its fried.
Seems like your not hearing me, Its not lighting up, it does nothing, has new batteries. I am 100% sure its fried,. why would i lie about it being fried, i dont need a 2nd Base Station,.
but I might as a back up since these love to fry when they try to do a wireless download for whatever reason. I have given up on Customer Service after my Ebay Base Station arrives I will see if i can set it up easily..
Shoulndt be a problem as long as it lights up when i plug it in., I know it works,,. DUH!

Preferred solution: a replacement base station since their wireless download, that everyone says i didnt need, but my keypad says it did,, ended up frying the base station after 5 hours of a supposed download,. 5 hours? It says it should have taken up to an hour at most.

Product reliabilty
My system seems to have one item every other month go bad. First door sensor, them siren, then another door sensor, then camera Ann now another door sensor.
Since I dealt with various systems while working as a security system inspector for El Paso County, Colorado this is a joke.
Why does this happen? Estimated replacement time for items gone bad is usually 10 to 14 BUSINESS days.

Did not receive delivery as stated by email
I found out that I did receive an entry sensor which I did not order. I call them back and they said that they have reordered my video doorbell.
Lets see if they can get it right this time. I like the company, but the people that run it are not the sharpest pencils in the drawer.
